What does the Kids Wish Network do?

What we have learned

Our group has learned alot in the process of this project, but most of it had to do with being a Global Citizen. We learned that we can take from the world and we can also give back. That is why we went to primary classes and educated them about the Kids Wish Network, because it all starts at a young age.After we were done, we each gave a slip of paper to every student in each class and we told them to answer this question: "If you had nothing, what would you wish for?" and we got some really great answers. This Global Citizen project has not only taught us about the powers of team work, it has also taught us that if we give a little to the world, we can all become Global Citizens.

The Kids wish network works with many partners to make a kids wish come true:

Member Facilities – Pediatric hospitals, abuse shelters, homeless shelters and other specialized pediatric care facilities nationwide have partnered with Kids Wish Network to help recognize and bring cheer to children

Civic and Social Organizations – Many civic and social organizations throughout the United States have worked to bring communities together in helping the children served by Kids Wish Network. Some sponsor Wish Kids or programs while others hold fundraisers. Some groups have even come together to help a Wish Kid in their community by helping to make the child’s wish extra special!

Guardian Angels – Our Guardian Angels are individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, companies or service providers who help us to fulfill our mission of bringing joy into the lives of children nationwide. They do so through the generous donations of money, services, time or products and they are greatly appreciated and needed!!!

Volunteers – Anyone who volunteers their time, products or services to Kids Wish Network is considered a Partner. There are many chances to volunteer for Kids Wish Network: when we host an event at any one of our member facilities across the nation, at our headquarters in Florida or even helping out to make a child’s wish a memorable experience.

What does being a global citizen mean to you?

Being a global citizen represents having unconditional selflessness and understanding towards anyone in need of assistance and love. To be defined as a global citizen, you must complete loyal acts that make people feel better than they originally have been, help make a difference in someone's life no matter how big or small the deed, and thoroughly care for others who need help even if you don't know who they are. As a global citizen, you can fulfill the duties of generously giving to or participating an a fund raising event that helps out people with their specific problems. It feels good to know you picked someone up off their feet, and that's what it feels like to be a true global citizen.

The kids wish network provides several very helpful programs to add additional smiles to those kids who need it most. This foundation has formed them to give to those kids who need to know they have love and care. Some successful programs include Hero of the Month, Kid Wish Network on tour and holiday of hope Gift Banks. All these programs help raise money, donate toys, and help children in stress feel like they finally have an advantage. Firstly, Hero of the Month is an award given to children that is either currently fighting in hospitals, abuse shelters, homeless shelters and other services, or that have suffered a great deal of pain but found the strength to overcome it. Multiple facilities around the USA nominate 5 courageous children to get a chance to win the reward of gifts and gift cards. The Kid Wish Network on tour’s goal is to provide items such as new clothes, toys, school products and many other necessities to those who live miles away. The Holiday of Hope Gift Banks are gift banks that raise donations including toys and games so that children could appreciate a gift during the holidays, and distract them from thinking about their circumstances. All programs associated focus on bringing joy to kids ages 3-18, no matter how far away or how sick they might be.

Many wishes were granted by celebrities such as John Cena, Keyshia Cole, Taylor Swift and NFL Coach Jon Gruden and the Green Bay Packers.

What does the Kids Wish Network do?

The Kids Wish Network is a helpful foundation that ensures that hundreds of thousands of children all throughout the globe that are suffering unfortunate circumstances get the opportunity to experience a life changing moment. The children give them a wish of theirs, and this network makes sure that they get what they have asked for, because of the possibility of not being able to receive it in their future. Since 1997, the Kid Wish Network’s main goals were to provide happiness in young people’s lives that were not lucky enough to grow up healthily. This foundation wants to encourage hope so that children in hard positions believe there is something to look forward to in life and to think about better things than what they are going through. All within one year, this foundation has helped 56 620 kids and were given their chance of a lifetime. In order to provide enough worldwide, several programs were formed so there was more to give to those who really need them in certain countries. Overall, Kids Wish Network is a dependent and well working process in creating memories and allowing sick children to put a mark on this world.
