Nelson mandela was the first person in his family to got to school. He first attedned the Methodist Church when he first started then when on to primary school and missonary school.
He excelled in track and boxing in his younger years.
College: he went to the university of Fort Hare to study law. He got sent home right after for particapting in a school boyycott. Later on went to the university of Witwastersrand to get his bachelors.

Nelson Mandela grew up with a poor family had to move a lot. They use to live in huts in the grassy lands of their farms.
Family: Nelson was the only son in his family his father died when he was nine years old to cancer.

Obstacles
Nelson Mandela was in jail for 18 years of his life becuase the goverment did not like his point of views. He had to work a long painful life behind bars on a ilsand called Robben Island. that was basically his obstcals becuase he had to learn in his cell. he wanted to do something different in Africa.

Nelson Mandelas actions affected us in a way of standing up for what you belive in. He told people what ever you do you can get through it.
After mandela got out of prison he went out and became the president of Africa. After his long hard work and though life of being in jail for most of it. he established reconcilation & commission for hoistory i mean he aslo went up against the (NCA) and was looked up by many people all over the world.
