What happened?
President Eisenhower had to eventually send the National Guard and have them protect the students. They escorted the students to their locker and classes. Eventually they all graduated from Little Rock Central High School.

Who was Ruby Bridges?
However, the school, Little Rock Central, refused to have the children enter the school, so they got the Alabama Police Force to block off the school from the nine children. President Eisenhower told the school to allow the children to enter the school, but they refused.
Ruby Bridges was the first black child to attend an all white school. She went to school at William Frantz Elementary
What was Little Rock Nine?
Everyday Ruby was escorted by Policemen to school to protect her from the angry mob that didn't want her to go to an all white school. People eventually lightened up and other people started going to the school.
Ruby graduated from the elementary school and now lives her life peacefully in New Orleans with her husband and their 4 sons.
Little Rock nine was nine black children who were nine high school children who wanted to attend an all white school after segregation was outlawed in 1957.
