What is Audism?
In 1939 the T4 program was introduced which meant that deaf could be taken from anywhere they were living and be taken into a hospital and killed. 25,000 deaf people killed with only 20 still living today.
Audism is the discrimination and the notion of feeling more powerful and intelligent as opposed to someone that has the ability to hear when the deaf cannot.
Who was the first?
The first recorded deaf person was biblical times in which Jesus healed the man who couldn't hear. It was even written in Hebrew law that deaf had limited rights in marriage and owning land.
