Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)

What is CBMS?

Standard Costs

Standard costs for CBMS implementation is P 108/hh (covering cost of training [meals and materials] of 4 CBMS basic modules, 1 computer hardware for databank, conduct of field census (including tablets))

Additional Information Required

THANK YOU

  • Standard MOA for CBMS collaboration with DILG and CBMS Network Team
  • Attached SB Resolution authorizing LCE to sign MOA
  • Timetable of Project Activities
  • Breakdown of Budget details for the conduct of CBMS training

CBMS is designed as an organized process of data collection, processing, validation and integration of data in the local development process

It is a system that promotes evidence-based policy making and program implementation while empowering communities to participate in the process

It generates a core set of indicators that are being measured to determine the welfare status of the population. These indicators capture the multi-dimensional aspects of poverty

Rationale for the Development of Mobile-based Approach in Implementing CBMS

Need to fast track the generation of CBMS census to serve as timely inputs in local development planning

  • Paper-less data capture
  • Cost-effective and efficient
  • Relatively quicker
  • Enforced on-the-dot technical validation and checking of responses
  • GPS reading of household readily available given android tablet GPS
  • Enhanced security to ensure confidentiality of data
  • Only registered users can use the application
  • Web server is only available to users with specific clearance

Demand for use of information technology in improving the CBMS process

The CBMS Process
