Obtuse angle: An angle with a measure greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.
Mixed number: A number that has a whole number (not 0) and a fraction.
Junction: A place where two or more lines come together or connect.
Numerator: The number written above
the line in a fraction. It tells how many
equal parts are described in the fraction.
Parallel lines: Lines that are always the same distance apart. They do not intersect.
Line plot: A diagram showing frequency
of data on a number line.
Improper fraction: A term for a fraction whose
numerator is greater than or equal to its denominator.

Hundredth: One of the equal parts when a whole is divided into 100 equal parts.
This ABC book is geared towards fourth grade math students. It contains many of the important vocabulary words that fourth graders will encounter during math class. Along with the words, there are definitions and illustrations to help visual learners. The words and definitions are read aloud to help auditory learners.

shape.

Remainder: The amount left over when one
number is divided by another.
Unit fraction: A fraction that has
1 as its numerator.
Factor: The whole numbers that are multiplied to get a product.
