Greatest Escapes
1. To me the greatest escape from "Cue For Treason" would be an escape from Peter. Peter had many great escapes but the one that was really suspenseful and spectacular was the one when he was stranded on the little island near Ulswater. It was such a great escape because everything was against him. He had just tooken a bad fall and he was so tired. He had been held captive by Mr.Duncan and Sir Philip and his crew were supposed to come back. Held captive he tried to do everything he could. First Peter had to make a run for it but was surprised by how sore he was. The plan failed and Mr.Duncan carried him back and tide his hands and legs together. His second and final plan was more thought out and it worked. He grabbed the wine bottle and broke it on the little hut. While Mr.Duncan was grabbing flint and steel for the fire Peter decided to cut the rope from himself. Once free he decided to eliminate Mr.Duncan. He grabbed a huge stone and...
"I stepped in silently, raised my arms above my head, and brought them down."(Trease. 198)
He knocked out Mr.Duncan.
Half of his plan worked, now he had to swim across from the island and get back to Kit. There was a big clap of thunder and a huge gust of wind as soon as Peter hit the water. It made the river look like a huge storm in the middle of an ocean. Peter knew right away that it wouldn't be easy but still had enough courage to take on mother nature. He kept telling himself the he must not give up and knew that if he gave up the queen would be murdered and there town would be in chaos. That wasn't the reason why he kept going." That wasn't what kept me going. It wasn't the life of an old lady with a crown. It was for all of us."(Trease. 202) After what seemed like an hour Peter finally made it and was just glad that he didn't have to stay on the island.
Greatest Escape 3
The third best escape from "Cue For Treason" would be when Peter and Kit escaped from Peters house without his crew knowing. Peter had just escaped from the island and out ran Sir Philips crew. Kit and Peters parents nurtured him back to strength. Sir Philip and his crew showed up to Peters house and asked if Peter was inside and obviously he said that they haven't seen him for days. Sir Philip said "Its quite clear that hes got the young scoundrel inside!"(Trease. 218) Peter and his family barricaded the doors and exits except for the dairy window. Mr.Brownrigg and his family distracted Sir Philip and his army long enough for Peter and Kit to squeeze through the dairy window and run for it. It was amazing how none of Sir Philips army men noticed them, they could of easily been shot. They later crossed the beck and ran for town. There they spilled the story out to there neighbors and before Peter could finish the neighbors were already heading up the hill with there weapons.
Greatest Escape 4
The fourth best escape from "Cue For Treason" would be when Peter and Kit escaped from Mr.Armthwaite. Peter and Kit had just escaped from Sir Philip and they were running to Mr.Armthwaite to tell him everything. They thought that because Mr.Armthwaite was so powerful he could do something about Sir Philip but what Peter and Kit didn't know was that he too was part of Sir Philips plan. After Peter had finished telling Mr.Armthwaite the story he was about to ring the bell until Kit said, "If you touch that bell-cord you'll get something that will upset you still more!"(Trease. 229) Even though it shocked Mr.Armthwaite and Peter she knew what to do. She explained to Peter everything and then they stole Mr.Armthwaites two fastest horses and they were off. If Mr.Armthwaite pulled down that cord it would of alarmed Sir Philip and his crew. It was a signal letting them know the Peter and Kit were in there. Just as peter and Kit were making there escape Peter noticed that someone was coming fast on there trail but they had the fastest horses in Cumberland?
Conflict
A good person v.s person conflict from the book "Cue For Treason" would be Peter Brownrigg v.s Sir Philip Morton. Peter Brownrigg was an ordinary boy from Cumberland until one day. On that day Peter threw a rock at Sir Philip and it started an epic journey. Sir Philip Morton is a bad man that has power to do anything but decides to use that power to try to rule all of the country. He is part of a deadly plan to try to assassinate the queen(Elizabeth 1).
Conflict
The best person v.s nature conflict would be Peter v.s Ulswater river. When Peter was stranded and trapped on an island he had to get rid of Mr.Duncan first. After he got rid of him he had to swim through the river. The little river turned into a hurricane and it put a fight. It took every ounce of Peters strength and mind. It seemed as if the huge waves would swallow Peter but he never quit and eventually it was Peter who came out with the win. This time Peter won and not mother nature but the stormy river had a huge smirk on its face and reminded Peter that he was lucky to win.
Conflict
A good Person v.s Self conflict would be Kit v.s Self. Kit was a girl that was supposed to inherit land if she later married Sir Philip. She decided not to and ran away from home and decided to turn into a boy. She decided with herself that she wouldn't tell anybody in case they took her in. Many people thought that she was a great actor only because she was a boy but they didn't know that she was actually a girl. She didn't know if she should tell her friends but the only people who figured out that she was a girl was Peter and Shakespeare. It turned out that her and Peter became best friends and more...
Conflict
The best Person v.s Society conflict would be Kit v.s society. Unlike Peter when Kit ran away from home she had to dress up like a boy because 1 if Sir Philip ever came across her he wouldn't realize that that would be Kit because she would be dressed up like a boy. 2 If Kit ever found a job she would be able to keep it because back then only men and boys could work so it would of surved for two purposes. When Kit was working for Shakespeare they thought he was so good but what they didn't know was that "he" was actually a girl named Kit. That was the law back then so society played a big part in this part.
Villains
1. To me I think that the worst villain in "Cue For Treason" was Sir Philip Morton. I think that he is the worst and most evil villain because he tries to steal and take as much land away from innocent people as he can. Sir Philip was also the leader in the plan to try to assassinate the queen(Elizabeth 1). When Peter threw the rock at him he never gave up trying to find him. He was so evil that even after a year he still wanted to see him behind bars or worse, hanged. For every plan that Peter discovered Sir Philip would always be behind them and that deserves the ultimate villain title.
2. The next most evil villain in "Cue For Treason" would be Sir David Vicars or as Peter riffers to "The Yellow gentleman". I think he would be the second worst villain because in the middle of the book he steals Shakespeare new play from Peter and tries to leave town with it. He too is a friend of Sir Philip Morton and is part of his plans too. When Peter and him met Peter didn't know his name and judging by his clothes he referred to him as "The Yellow gentlemen.
3. The last villain in "Cue For Treason" would be Mr.Duncan. I think that he was a good bad villain. When Peter was trapped on the island he was alone with Mr.Duncan and Peter thought he was done for. Mr. Duncan had no plans on letting Pater go but was knocked out by Peter at the end. He too like David Vicars was involved with Sir Philips plans to try to assassinate the queen.
1.A courageous act would be from Peter when ha swam across the Ulswater river with everything against him. It was really courageous because if Peter decides to stop swimming and gives up Sir Philip could then catch him. There would be no one to warn the queen about the plot and it could of go very wrong.
Another courageous act would be when Peter escapes the radar of Sir Philip. Peter was so courageous by hiding in chest. If Peter doesn't decide to hide in the chest then Sir Philip will then catch him and Peter could possibly be put behind bars. Peter would never meet Kit and the kingdom would fall apart.
A courageous act from "Cue For Treason" would be when Kit and Peter decide to squeeze through the dairy window and try to make a run for it. It was very courageous because if one of Sir Philips army men sees them they could easily run them down. In order for the day to be saved Peter and Kit had to squeeze in there and not be caught. Amazingly they didn't get caught and safely made it out.
A fourth courageous act from "Cue For Treason" would be when Peter and Kit escape from Mr.Armthwaites house. Peter explained their whole story to Mr.Armthwaite and thought that he could be trusted. Kit smelled out what was going on and knew that Mr.Armthwaite was part of Sir Philips plan. They both ran out of Mr.Armthwaites house and decided to steal his fastest horses and escape. They both made it out but Sir Philips crew were on their heels but they were safe for a while. For Now.
1. Another great hero from "Cue For Treason" would be Mr.Desmond. When Peter and Mr.Desmond were part of Shakespeare play play Mr.Desmond was almost the first manager to lead them into unknown regions like Cumberland and Lancashire. That wasn't why he was a great hero. When Peter and Kit were running away from Sir Philip they came upon Mr.Desmond and they spilled out their story to him. Mr.Desmond offered them horses and money but Peter knew that they would get caught easily. Mr.Desmond and his actors thought of a marvelous plan. When Sir Philip and his crew came along Mr.Desmonds crew acted so good and they acted like the queens guards so good that they managed to capture Sir Philips crew and even Sir Philip himself. If it wasn't for Mr.Desmond Peter and Kit would of ran right into Sir Philips crew. Mr.Desmond was a great hero in the book "Cue For Treason".
2. A second great hero from "Cue For Treason" would be Peters own father, Mr.Brownrigg. When Peter escaped from the Ulswater island he was really exhausted. Mr and Mrs.Brownrigg helped Peter get healthy again and when Sir Philip and his army came Mr.Brownrigg protected his house with courage and bravery. He shot one of Sir Philips army men and abstracted them long enough for Peter and Kit to escape. He even threatened to shoot Sir Philip if he got closer to his house. Peters dad was, no doubt, a great hero.
3. The third greatest hero from "Cue For Treason" would have to be Will Shakespeare. I think that was a great hero because he gave Peter and Kit a job as actors and when ever Peter had a homesick look on his face Will would give him a glance as to say cheer up or look on the bright side. Will Shakespeare treated Peter and Kit like family and even rented them a room. "Shakespeare filled our stomachs with supper and our hearts with hope"(Trease. 100) Peter and Kit even made some money enogh to buy there own food. I think this is what kept Peter going.
Themes
1. IT IS IMPORTANT TO HELP OTHERS DESPITE RISK YOURSELF
This theme is illustrated in the book "Cue For Treason" when Peter and Kit are trapped in the Brownrigg house hold. Mr.Brownrigg knew that he had to get Peter and Kit out in order to warn the queen. Mr.Brownrigg formed a plan and bravely held Sir Philip and his army long enough for Peter and Kit to escape. Mr.Brownrigg knew that he could of been shot and killed but he focused and knew that he was doing the right thing.
2. BRAVERY,NOBLE IDEALS AND HEROISM INSPIRES AND RAISES OUR SPIRITS
This theme was represented a lot in the book "Cue For Treason" but the one that was really brave and courageous was when Peter escaped from the island. He didn't escape from their unhurt. It took all of Peters mental and physical strengthto get out of there. When he elimanated Mr.Duncan he headed for the Ulswater river. Man that ocean was huge. Even thuogh it was a river, with all the wind and all the rain it seemrd as if it were an ocean. Peter started to swim and it got harder for him. At one point Peter thought of just quiting but knew that everyone was counting on him. He remembered Kit and his familyand knew that he couldnt quite, not now. That was what kept him going. It took every ounce of strength and finally he made it.
3. GOOD WILL ALWAYS TRIUMPHS IN THE END
As always the bad guy loses and the good guys win. If Peter somehow got caught by Sir Philip then the end would of been different but obviously he didn't. At the end Sir Philip and his crew got put behind bars and his plan got blown. The queen is saved and Peter and Kit are known for many heroic events including the capture of the worst man ever, Sir Philip Morton.

Great escape 2
Another great escape from "Cue For Treason" would be another escape from Peter. This great escape happens in the beginning of the book. Peter had just thrown a rock at Sir Philip Morton and was leaving town. Peter finished his roast mutton on a stick and was getting ready to see a play. He then heard that Sir Philip was coming through the gate and entered the play. Peter tried to make a run for it but was noticed by Sir Philip and the chase was on. Peter dashed into the actors room and ran into another passage. He could hear Sir Philip roaring at the actors. Peter had two doors in front of him but they were both locked. So many thoughts were rushing into Peters mind and he didn't have a clue as to what he should do. Peter thought of dressing up into an actor but knew he would get his cover blown easily. The only thing he could find was an empty chest that was unlocked."It was a desperate chance but the only one. I hopped inside and pulled down the lid."(Trease. 43) Surprisingly it worked and nobody ever opened the chest. He had escaped from Sir Philip and Peter knew that this couldn't be the end of Sir Philip.
