Thesis
After doing research there was many articles that stated "America's education system failed." I personally agree with this statement. In America, students are so wrapped around the technology around them for example their phones, tablets, laptops that they get so distracted from what we're actually suppose to be learning. American students top priority isn't education as it's said to be.
Problem and Solutions
Reference to Ted Talk
Japanese Students VS Us
- Problem: One of the problems in our American education system is students depend on technology instead of themselves which can cause them to lose focus on their education.
- Solution: Having a no phone policy could fix this problem.
- Problem: Japans education system is strict and focuses mainly on their education which can overwhelm a student.
- Solution: Giving students in Japan more breaks through out the school year or lowering the pressure on the students could help them stress less.

Jonathan Levi's Ted Talk "What if schools taught us how to learn" explains how we should change our methods on how to learn to actually retain information. This Ted Talk relates to this subject because our American education system is lower than Japans, not because we don't have the technology we do have nor as advanced but because they have better methods of studying and don't have any type of distractions.
