Split yourselves into two even teams.

Half of you will be arguing the value of the medical model, the half will be arguing for the value of the social model.

Independent Task

A model is an viewpoint/way of looking at something.

Working in pairs, use journal search engines such as Science Direct to explore the definitions of the medical and social models.

Share your answers on the discussion board section of the VLE

Use the peer feedback sheets to provide one another with 'constructive' feedback on presentation delivery.

Find a researcher who agrees and disagrees with the medical model of disability. Do the same for the social model.

Produce your own Prezi to cover the main points found, considering the strengths and weaknesses.
