NCAA Mens Basketball Final Four
Stevie Thomas

Chip Graber
Professor Whiting
Stevie and Susan Carol both win a writing contest
and get to go down to the Final Four to write articles,
interview people, get interviewed, and have a good time.
Stevie and Susan Carol go out to interview
players and coaches on each team after their
practices to get stories started. As they walk around
the arena, Stevie overhears a conversation between
Chip Graber and Professor Whiting...
...Professor Whiting tells Chip that he must win the
first game, but purposely lose the championship game.
If not, he threatens to get all of his teams wins stripped
and his dad, the coach, fired.
Susan and Stevie knew they had to do
something about it without people
knowing right away. So after sneaking
around hotels and making up story after
story, they find Chip in his room and
try to get the whole story out of him.
Chip tells them everything and agrees to help them
do something about it, so he helps them find the old
Dean of his school, Dean Wojenski, to make sure
Professor Whiting doesn't do anything to his grades to
where he can't play...again.
But then they soon find out that Dean
Wojenski and Whiting are in on it
together and corner all 3 of them in
a hotel room and threaten them so they
don't say anything.
One of the "bad guys", Steve Jergensen, ended up being the hero when he found where the 3 were and got them out of there and back to the Superdome for the championship game that Graber was in.
The whole game agaisnt Duke Chip didn't know if he should
try to win it or not, but Stevie and Susan convinced him to and
led a comeback to tie the game at 80, got a steal with 3 seconds
left, and hit a halfcourt shot at the buzzer.
The blackmailers, including the Duke president
Earl Koheen, were arrested and Stevie and Susan
became heroes with a little help from Chip.
