Satyagraha & civil disobedience
- Mahatma Gandhi was an important leader in the nonviolent movement for freedom in India.
- Many people such as scholars, activists, and nonviolent practitioners still use Gandhi's techniques from Satyagraha when campaigning for peace.

- Civil Disobedience gains the attention of unfair laws or regimes in a civil way.
- Noncooperation (strikes, protests, demonstrations, etc.) tried to give power back to the people.
