Where is the technology?
- Students can use: Cell phones, chromebooks (or other laptops), tablet or ipads, and calculators.
- Teachers can use: Smartboard, ELMO, desktop computer, tablet or ipad, cell phone, and calculator.
- These devices can be used for: educational software (geogebra, geometers sketchpad, desmos, etc), educational websites (kahoot, quizlet, prezi, etc), activities (jeopardy, CBR and other calculator attachments, QR code, scavenger hunts), and many more!!!
It's dangerous to go alone! Take this advice with you...
- Read the entire information booklet before you start teaching.
- Discuss lesson plans with your teacher and ask to see what they use.
- Create a skype and set reminders on your phone for weekly skype calls.
- Have emails ready to create accounts to educational websites and start free-trials for educational software.
- Do as much work as possible before leaving the school.
- DONT FALL BEHIND ON YOUR PLANS/BINDER
- Have students names memorized in a week.
- Watch the clock, make sure you are giving them time to answer your questions, and try lots of classroom management techniques.
- Be creative and open to new ideas!!!
