The Tell-Tale Heart Project

By : Will Unger and Jacob Parajecki

Exposition

I am wondering why he thought that just the old man's hazy eye was a reason to try and kill the old man because the way somebody's eye looks is not a reason to kill the old man. Even the narrator said that the old man was not the problem, "...but his Evil Eye" (Poe, 203).

Murder Discovered!

Yesterday, an old man was found murdered, and hidden under the living room planks of 371 Applepie street. The man was Steve Bob, a generous old farmer and a great small-town baker. He retired 24 years ago and started to take care of a man who had lost his home. That very man was the murderer. There were no signs of death on the body besides the fact that it was dismembered, but evidence showed that it was done after the heart stopped. Later, there were heavy indents of bedposts found on the floorboards of his resting room but it showed that the indent was made on one side by striking, showing proof that something was under it when the mark was made, confirming the fact that he was suffocated after the bed was thrown over him. The first inspection proved spotless, and was not this far investigated until the criminal admited the deed as he burst out saying, "Dissemble no more! I admit the deed! - tear up the planks!
