Kentucky Fried Chicken was founded by Colonel Sanders in 1952 at the age of 65 year old. Before KFC he owned a road side restaurant in North Corbin,Kentucky during the Great Depression. Prior to his restaurant businesses, he worked as a steam engine stoker, insurance salesman and filling station operator. He dropped out of school in 6th grade, but later he found success.

• KFC is known for its fried chicken.
• Sanders trademarked the phrase "It's Finger Lickin' Good" 1963.
• 1964 Sanders sold KFC for $2,000,000
• there is a Kfc museum in Corbin Kentucky.
