Government

Military

There is approximately 24,851,627 people in the North Korean Military ranking at 49th in the world. They also have the largest submarine force in the world.

Weapons:

The U.S. department of defense believes North Korea is likely to have a "stockpile" of weapons.

North Korea is also believed to have a very large amount of functioning nuclear weapons which have been tested through history 3 times.

North Korea fights commonly with rifles identified with Kalashnikov names.

Military shows are very common for entertainment.

Government Type: Dictatorship (Communist)

This means that one person leads and controls everything.

Their leader is Kim Jong Eun.

He is the youngest head of

state is the world and by

some standards is very

spoiled. He is considered very

violent because he used

machine guns to kill the

entire Jang family. He also does not allow his people to have complete freedom like in America but rather takes away recources that can be used to learn about the outside world and he alters the news and information the citizens get.

Fashion/Style

Women are popularly seen wearing high heels, sequins, tight and colorful dresses and lots of makeup.

Men are starting to wear tighter shirts and black, more formal pants. The fashion sense all over this country is very formal.

In the capital, clothes are increasing and price and most women's shirts are around ten U.S. dollars which is a lot by North Korea standards.

The capital is the only part of North Korea that is more interested in fashion because most others are not wealthy enough to worry about fashion.

3 Generations of Punishment

Food

In North Korea, there are 3 generations of punishment.

I will pick on Mr. Herbstreit.

If Mr. Herbstreit were to commit a terrible terrible crime, his children, parents and grandparents would be punished.

Punishment:

Punishment in North Korea is either execution or imprisonment.

Imprisonment:

Prisons are called reeducation camps. Prison life in North Korea is harsh. There are even baby killings when the baby is born. Prisoners are tortured and showered in icy water. Many suffer from hunger.

Sources

Like most Asian countries, rice is their staple food. Vegetables and meat is also very common. Kimchi is also another staple food and is sometimes served at every meal.

Craziest Foods:

-Silkworm Larvae (served steamed and tastes similar to hot dogs)

-Pig Feet (usually served with alcohol, is very popular)

-Live Octopus (the tentacles are still moving which grasp your teeth and tongue)

-Fermented Sting Ray (it smells horrible)

North Korea

Technology

North Korea doesn't have as advanced technology as America. There are many restrictions on technology. For example, about 1 million people in North Korea own a cell phone but they are not allowed to make international calls or go online.

North Korea has 2 Internets. Their main one is called Kwangmyong. Of course it is barely an internet considering the available information is incredibly limited. A new tablet has just been released. It has an antenna.

Korea has a lot of cultural diversity to offer that is energetic and unique.

Life Style

Kim Jong-Eun waving to his very loyal people.

A typical North Korean day (in the capital) would start off at about 6:30 am for breakfast which is usually porridge, a boiled egg or yogurt.

Then it is time for work. Traffic is a big problem when getting to work. 59% of their population works. Recently the women have become the 'bread winners'.

At about 5pm work usually ends and at about 10pm people are in bed.
