David Stacey Sr. is found off the Southern coast of Aruba covered in scratches & bruises with 2 jet skis; but there is no sign of Max.
He is taken to the police station & allowed to shower–erasing all & any evidence that could be used.
When invited on a jet ski ride by Stacey Sr., Yvonne gave in to Max's constant pleeding.
After the 45 minute ride was over, Max & Stacey still had not returned to La Cabana where both families were staying.
Yvonne then alerted Beach Patrol.
After numerous inconsistent statements were made about the incident by Stacey, the Aruban government felt a full investigation was not necessary.

Yvonne & Dominique were then sent home with no answers, no help, & no documentation of Max's death–he was only considered missing.

-23 year old Amy disappeared while on a Caribbean cruise with her mother, father, & brother
-Last seen on the morning of March 24, 1998 by cruise ship band member
-No official investigations or searches were preformed
-Since Amy's disappearance, there have been several reports of her being spotted

While on vacation, the DeVries family was friended by David Stacey Sr. (52) & adopted son David Stacey Jr. (31); both from the United States.
