The stapler allows us to keep our thoughts, calculations, ideas and papers linked together in an organized fashion. The invention of the staple and the stapler also caused competition invention for items such as paper clips and binder clips.

Uses

The stapler is a tool used to bind things together. In it's early days, it was mainly used to bind paper, but today, it can also be used as a construction and medical tool. Innovations to the stapler have made it better and more useful.

History

One of the best inventions of all time

The first stapler in recorded history was made in France for King Louis XIV (14). This stapler looked very different from what we use today. It also was stationary and it wasn't able to tack, as our staplers do today.

Purpose

The stapler is used to bind things together. When it was first invented, paper was the main thing that was stapled. Since then, we have invented new ways to use staplers and staples. Today, staples can be found on construction sites, in doctor's offices and in offices and schools.
