Togo the wonder dog
Togo led a pack of dogs to deliver a cure for people with Diphtheria, a upper respiratory illness. Balto was the one that led the pack of dogs to deliver the serum. The run to nome was 674 miles and the journey was dangerous four the dog and the team, there were blizzards and they had to rely on both Togo and Balto to guide them through the storm.
Togo was born in 1913 and died on December 5, 1929, four years after the serum run.
