Father of the Industrial Revolution
He is considered the Father
of the Industrial Revolution.
He grew up in England as the
apprentice to a cotton factory owner
and ended up as the superintendent
of that factory and had a very
intimate knowledge of the factory inner
workings.
After he memorized all
that he could he emigrated from England
and immigrated to the USA to help
them figure out how to mass produce
things easily.
This was so momentous because
at the time England made it illegal
for factory workers to leave the
country for fear of competition with
other countries stealing the secrets
of the factories.
Slater Mill was the first
cotton spinning mill in the
U.S.A to be completely
powered by water.
He used many other
ideas of a man by the name
of Richard Arkwright who was
a genius who invented many
water powered machines that helped
make factories more efficient.
He is the number one
innovator of the industrial
revolution because without him
factories would have taken a lot
longer to make their way over to the
U.S.A.
