After Khrushchev comes to a deal with the U.S. The U.S. Proceeds to take down the missiles from Turkey about a month later. A hot line was also made to help prevent future conflicts.

On October 24 1962 Khrushchev says that U.S. will no intimidate the Soviets, Khrushchev refuses to remove the missiles. He also accuses President Kennedy that he'll start a nuclear war by ordering a quarantine.

On October 26 1962 U.S. begins to fret and become worried that the soviet union will not remove the missiles. They plan to take control of the missiles. Though this might cause a war.

On October 17th 1962 More photos of the missile sites were analyzed. The photos showed that Cuba had long range missiles that could travel up to 2,200 miles.

On October 28 1962 Khrushchev orders Cubans and Soviets to dismantle the missiles and remove them from Cuba. However, Khrushchev orders the Americans to remove the missiles from Turkey.

On October 21 1962 Attorney and adviser to the president, Ted Sorenson, writes a speech for President Kennedy. The speech informs Americans of the missiles that reside in and that they are pointed into the U.S.

On October 19 1962 Ex-Comm meets and discusses that they should send ships to Cuba. They wanted to stop the flow of soviet ships onto Cuba. They also called it a quarantine because if was called a blockade it would be associated with war.

On December 19 1960 Cuba became a full Russian state. They allowed Russia to put missiles onto Cuba.

On October 22 1962 President Kennedy delivers a speech to Americans all across the country informing them that missiles have been found in Cuba. He tells Americans that he orders to quarantine Cuba.

On October 16th 1962 A group of american leaders called "Ex-Comm" meet up for the first time. They would meet to discuss the Soviet missiles. They meet together many times

October 20 1962 Ex-Comm came to the suggestion that they should quarantine Cuba. Robert Kennedy went to President Kennedy to discuss the idea.

Operation Anadyr is the soviet plan to place Ballistic Missile in Cuba. These missiles were capable of going 2,200 miles and were able to cause immense damage.

After the compromise the U.S. proceeds to keep a close watch on Cuba by still using scheduled flights but this gradually slows down.

On October 18 1962 Robert Kennedy meets with the Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko. Gromyko tells Robert Kennedy that the Soviet Union is only helping Cuba by giving them assistance in growing crops and missiles for defense.

On October 27 1962 Charles Maultsby, an American pilot flew off into soviet air space. An American jet rescues him and guides him back into safe space before the soviets shoot them down.

Kennedy receives a letter from Khrushchev stating that the missiles are meant for the defense of Cuba and are not meant for starting a war.

October 23 1962 Soviet ships were ordered to stopped 750 miles in the Atlantic. This prevents a confrontation with the U.S. However Soviet submarines trail closely behind U.S. ships

On October 25 1962 Kennedy wasn't making much progress when influencing Khrushchev to remove the missiles. Kennedy ordered two flights over Cuba a day.
