Constitution Theme Park

Popular Sovereignty Racecar

Popular sovereignty is when the government is ruled by the people. In the race car ride, the car represents the government, and the passengers are the people that tell the government exactly where to go and what to do.

Separation of Powers Swing Ride

Judicial Review Jungle Gym

Separation of powers allows the different branches to have equal power. I chose this ride because the swings on the ride are always separated from each other to keep the ride moving smoothly.

The process of Judicial Review is when the court reviews the Legislative and Executive Branches' decisions. I chose the jungle gym to show that if the decisions of the branches are good, they can continue up the jungle gym. However, a bad idea can result in getting kicked off.

Limited Government Log Ride

In a limited government, the government only has the power that the Constitution gives it. To me,the government is represented by the log, and the constitution is the water it floats in.

Federalist Free Fall

Constitution Candy Shop

This candy shop sells candy wrapped in all of the different amendments of the Constitution.

This ride represents the two government aspects of the Federalist system: state and national. I chose this because I thought it represented how these systems are different but the same

Checks and Balances Tilt-A-Whirl

Each branch of government has the power to limit the other two branches. I chose this ride because you have to lean a certain way to make the Tilt-A-Whirl spin the right way. In this regard, the government branches balance each other out to get things done.

Magna Carta Mexican

Just like the document, the Magna Carta restaurant has very large portions and you have the right to order what you want without the owner (king) telling you what to do.

Article Newsstand

This gift shop sells power bars for all those power hungry congressmen out there, executive planners for the presidential types, and LAWsly pops (lolli) to keep everyone above the law.

Bill of Rights Balloon Dart Game

Independence Ice Cream

Every balloon popped reveals one of the first 10 amendments such as free speech, right to bear arms, no illegal search and seizure, etc.

In this shop, people are FREE to DECLARE whatever ice cream they choose; just like the declaration of independence helped gain our independence from Britain.

Amendment Maze

A challenging obstacle course where each correct turn reveals a new amendment.

Impeach Frozen Yogurt

Preamble Pizza

When a president is being unlawful, he can be impeached. The yogurt is so good at this fine establishment it should be against the law to eat here:)

Just as the preamble is the first part of the Constitution of the US, this pizza joint is the first place you should go for food. It is good for YOUR Constitution!
