Your reading and
writing process tell you
how much time you need to
read & comprehend material, and how much time it
will take you to
draft an effective
paper.
Even if its just 10 minutes, and even if you don't have anything due. This will give you plenty of practice and help you get used to working on a schedule, even on
your busiest days.
You have the tools to write
any style of paper in any
lentgh.
Don't forget, plan
for the
unexpected!
The first weeks
of the semester are some
of the most stressful. But, they are also some of the easiest in
terms of work load. Use this to your advantage: take inventory of the reading/writing load
on each syllabi and plan accordingly. Also use this time to read/write ahead; it only
gets busier!
Do all of your work and do it right.
You may not understand every
reading/writing assignment, but that
is why you are in school--to learn.
There is no shame in getting help. So
make it a point to take advantage of
every resource: professor office
hours, tutors, TA's, peers and
mentors.
