Backlash was a thrilling book with many conflicts. A girl (Bree) got jealous of Laura causing her and her mom to put this girl through a world of emotional pain, not only affecting her but many other people in both families,their jobs, privacy, and identity.
Bree Conners, a teenager from Lake Hills High School, gets jealous when her ex- best friend makes the cheer team and she didn't which made her mad. She has never not made the cheer team. So she decides to set up a fake Facebook account as a boy who Laura falls in love with. Then, Bree drops some mean words online causing Laura to commit suicide which she does survive but afterward it caused a big problem when it comes down to finding who caused it.
