Q: How did Nazis treat 'part-Jews'?

Q: Why did Hitler want to "cleanse" the world of Jews, when he had a Jewish background?

A: 'Part-jews were called Mischlinge (hybrids) and were divided into 2 groups.

  • Mischlinge of the 1st degree- had two Jewish grandparents
  • Mischlinge f the 2nd degree- had one Jewish grandparent

A: He was a sad, angry little man with a mental illness. Also he he was supported by others. Hitler was not the only one to talk badly about Jews so, his speeches were no shocker. Even now, in the 21-century, there are countries where Jews are unwelcome.

First degrees were recruited as soldiers but were never able to receive higher ranking. As for second degrees they were incarcerated and sent to death camps.

How did Nazis define a full Jewish person?

  • married to a Jew or Jewess
  • part of a jewish community and/or religion

We should not forget the Holocaust, but instead try to learn from it and not repeat it.

Q: Why did the german people remain Bystanders?

A: this was due to antisemitic sentiments but primarily because it didn`t effect them, even if it was a friend.

  • Hitler took away liberties slowly until it was too late to stop him
  • Indifference, they did not care
  • Nazis promised to solve problems
