-Napoleon wanted legitamacy and democracy in France
Although we may see Napoleon as a tyrant, being worst than any other leader of France, we must acknowledge the fact that he benefited France in the long run. In terms of economy, territory, and military, he had kept his promises by improving it in the country, unlike past rulers. Even though people had seen him as a tyrant, we must say that his actions had justified his past mistakes, because he had done a greater good to the country than wrong to the people.
Napoleon was a relief for the people of France, as he had aspired for a non-corrupt, democratic government. He used propaganda and provided better lives to the people to popularize himself. However, he was also said to be a tyrant and the worst leader of all time. So the real question is: does one wrong denounce a thousand rights?
