Clear Conscience Counseling

  • Treatment Plans
  • Must be done by the 4th visit
  • Progress Notes due within 48 hours of contact
  • document attempts to contact family
  • Must be entered every time there is an encounter or a phone conversation
  • Format ( i.e DAP, SOAP)

  • Must use DSM F codes

BA is NOT

  • A way to get supervision for the youth / young adult to get him/her out of the house
  • A long-term service
  • A substitute for individual and/or family therapy

Care Managers

  • Behavioral Assistance are specific, outcome-oriented interventions that are components of an approved, written, detailed plan of care prepared by a licensed clinical behavioral healthcare practitioner.
  • Behavioral Assistance services involve applying positive behavioral principles that should improve functioning and strengthen skills across life domains.
  • Behavioral Assistance is delivered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan and does not include mentoring, tutoring, companionship or other similar services.

CSOC's Objective

  • Home: Successfully living with their families and reducing the need for out-of-home treatment settings.
  • School: Successfully attending the least restrictive and most appropriate school setting close to home.
  • In the Community: Successfully participating In the community and becoming independent, productive and law-abiding citizens

  • Call your care managers on a weekly basis
  • Care managers have supervision once a week
  • Progress notes are reviewed by the CM & SUP
  • MRSS - Outpatient or CMO? -start the conversation!
  • "My agency can help with the transition-"
  • CMO - 60th day out of 90 day Auth- CFT or transition?
  • Referrals - not available? "I don't have availability but send it, I know just the person who can service this family!"
  • BLACK LIST or GREEN LIST - (remember, your name, your license!)

  • If you miss your invoice day, your check will be delayed. if you would like to get pay outside of payweek, you will have to pay $150.00 special payroll fee

The New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) Children's System of Care (CSOC) serves children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, developmental, intellectual, and substance abuse needs and their families. CSOC is committed to providing these services based on the needs of the child and family in a family driven, community-based environment

IIC IS ...

  • IIC is an incisive, Goal oriented and needs based clinical intervention that addresses emotional and behavioral challenges of youth with moderate to high needs.
  • The primary objective of the interventions is symptom reduction and individual skill development with the goal of restoring or maintaining the youth’s functioning.
  • IIC services are short-term with projected time frames. IIC services are typically provided 1 to 2 hours per week. If continued behavioral health treatment is indicated, the youth and family should be transitioned to community based supports and services that may include treatment that meets clearly identified needs
