Martha Dandridge was born on June 2, 1731, in New Kent County, Virginia. Martha died on May 2, 1802 due to being ill in early 1802 so she wrote her will, burned most of the letters George and Martha wrote to each other, then she passed peacefully. She was buried next to George on the estate.
