Traditional Costume of Holland:D
Floral patterns
- Drafts for new costumes(we have added some new elements while keeping some traditional features:floral patterns and lace)
- Collect different materials which are useful fot the new costumes
Traditional Dutch Costume:
- The clothing that one wears reflected the culture of the place: their village, their region.
- This dress is worn with a blue and white checked or striped apron and sports a colorful floral dickey.
- wooden clogs :
- The shape of the clogs was different according to where they came from.
- Crafted hat :Usually made of white cotton or lace, it is sometimes characterized by triangular flaps or wings that turn up on either side.The lovely close-fitting hat flows out loosely over the shoulders.
Through doing this project, our group has learnt a lot of things. Although we have encountered some obstacles during the process(e.g. it was hard to find some decorations or fabrics which are relevant to the traditional features of the Holland's costume; because it was our first time to make a fabric journal, it was quite hard for us to manage) ,we cooperated with each other so we could finally come up with a decision. We also hleped our groupmates so we could finished all the work required. We have learnt that the cooperations between groupmates are very important and we should listen to others' opinions. The whole project is enjoyable and we were all glad to see our finished work.
