After the fall of Khmer Rouge, Tuy's parents fought for him to get a good education

Elephants are very destructive creatures and farmers got irritated at the fact that elephants would ruin their farms and impulsively kill them
With a headmaster's help, Sereivathana was able to attend a school that was several hours away from his home
Sereivathana was born in 1970, the same year that Cambodia went under a major political change
Although it was a long journey, Sereivathana has overcome the challenging obstacles put in front of him and has united elephants and people once again
With hard work and determination Tuy was awarded a scholarship to Belarus University to study forestry
Tuy's objective was to show the citizens that fireworks, electric fences, loud noises, and fences were a good way to keep the elephants from entering their territory
Through his studies he realized his passion for working with the Asian elephants
Khmer Rouge took control of Cambodia as a communist leader in 1974
Anyone who did not agree with Khmer Rouge's principles and rules were executed
The peaceful country of Cambodia soon became chaotic and disastrous until the fall of Khmer Rouge in 1979
