Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace was a mathematician that was born on the 10th of December 1815 in London. Her dad was a famous poet called Lord Byron. She was really good at maths at a young age, she translated an article on an invention by Charles Babbage and added her own comments. Because she was introduced to a lot of computer concepts, Ada was then known as the first ever computer programer. Unfortunately she died on November the 27th 1852.

She was a computer scientist, mathematician and a military leader. Born on the 9th of December 1906 and sadly died on the 1st of January 1992. She was one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer in 1944. He was one of four women in a doctoral program of ten students, and her doctorate in mathematics was a rare accomplishment in its day.

Alan Turing was a computer scientist his full name was Alan Mathison Turing he was born on 23 June 1912. During World War II, he developed a machine that helped break the German Enigma code in Blechley park. He also laid the groundwork for modern computing and theorized about artificial intelligence. After all his hard work people soon discovered he was gay so they said he could either be arrested or take hormone pill and he chose the pills so he became depressed and poisoned himself.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955 (age 60) and was a professional inventor and programer. In 1975, Bill Gates and Paul Allen co-founded Microsoft, which became the world's largest PC software company. In 1995 Bill Gates was the richest man in the world. Bill Gates and Paul Allen did not invent personal computers; they found ways to improve existing systems.
