Prince Shotoku was Born on February 7, 574 A.D. and died in April 8, 622. His father was Emperor Yōmei. He was a relative to the Soga clan. He was inspired by Buddha's teachings , He also sent scholars to learn about art,medicine, and philosophy. He was one of the most important rulers.

The era was the Asuku period (583-710A.D.) In the Japanese Empire. He was elected as a regent around 593.

Prince Shotoku greatly helped Japan develop. He build many temples, also established the Seventeen Article Constitution, created the twelve ranks of court, and brought the chinese culture such as Buddha to Japan.
