Why i want to pursue this career...

I think that working as a border patrol agent would be a fun and interesting job and i get to stop a bunch of illegal aliens(Mexicans) from coming into America.

Boarder Patrol locations

Agents and Budgets

Issues on boarder patrol

- The border patrol is responsible for patrolling nearly 6,000 miles of Mexican and Canadian international land borders.

- They also patrol over 2,000 miles of coastal waters surrounding the Florida Peninsula and the island of Puerto Rico.

- They work many assignments in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

AMO

- Border patrol agents get paid by their grade levels which include: A GL-5 makes $38,619 a year, A GL-7 makes $43,964 a year, and a GL-9 makes the most, $49,029 a year.

- They make 13.98$ an hour

- Its weird to think that someone who protects our lives and risks theirs everyday by stopping drugs and mexicans from passing over the U.S. Border, makes about the same as a cashier at Ralph's.

- The issues on border patrol have been disused for decades in elections,by the presidents, and by the people for the people.

- One example is that trump believes that we should build a wall on the border of Mexico so no mexicanos can come in and he wants to call it the Trump wall.

- One issue on border patrol is that the agents who work at the border who keep America safe and clean from mexicanos are not being paid enough. Congress passed a reform law that will change the way border patrol agents are getting paid, leading to pay cuts under the new system.

Goals of the border patrol

When it started

Stopping Drugs

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) is a critical component of CBP's risk-based and layered approach for border security. With 1,200 federal agents, more than 250 aircraft and over 280 marine vessels operating from 91 locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, AMO uses it sophisticated fleets to detect, sort, intercept, track and apprehend criminals in diverse environments at and beyond U.S. borders.

- The priority mission of the border patrol is preventing terrorists and terrorists weapons, including weapons of mass destruction, from entering the united states.

- Its primary mission remains unchanged: to detect and prevent the illegal entry of aliens( mexicans not aliens because aliens arent real why are we called aliens thats racist) into the united states.

- The U.S. Border Patrol was founded on May 28, 1924, as an agency of the United States Department of Labor to prevent illegal entries along the Mexico–United States border and the United States-Canada border. The first Border Patrol station began operations in Detroit, Michigan in June 1924.

- Agents stop many forms of drugs from going over the border which include: Weed (Mary J), Cocaine ( Im in love with the Coco), Heroine, and Methamphetamine.
