Quotes

The book The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket is about three orphaned siblings named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. The three siblings have to go live in a fence building place called, "Lucky Smells Lumber." The sibling are forced to work in the mill. They have to live in this place because Count Olaf killed their parents and all of the legal guardians.

“Appearance matters a great deal because you can often tell a lot about people by looking at how they present themselves.”

This quote is very important because one of the characters is dressed in a costume and the Baudelaires realize it and they know that that characters works for Count Olaf.

" But Count Olaf is always in disguise"

This quote is important because Count Olaf has many disguises and no one knows it's him. So he can get away with a lot of things, including killing people.

The Miserable Mills is a very good book because it has a lot of action in it. My favorite part in the book is when Klaus gets hypnotize by Count Olaf and Violet figures out to break his spell. I would recommend this book to those who like sad/action stories.

Character Analysis

Violet, the oldest out of the siblings, is a very clever inventor. Her inventions come in handy in the story because they help defeat Count Olaf. Count Olaf, the antagonist, wants to get his hands on the Baudelaire’s inheritance which their parents left them. He plans out how to get the money and does outrageous things to get it, including disguising himself. Klaus, the second youngest, he loves reading books. He is the one who gives ideas to Violet to make her inventions. Sunny she is the youngest out of all of them and doesn’t do much but she loves biting things. Her biting comes in handy because she has razor sharp teeth and bites Count Olaf often.
