THE CITY:

• At the head of the social pyramid of the Nazca were the centralized authorities, constituted by the lords and priests. They have the ability to organize community work .
• At the service of these authorities is a large number of specialized craftsmen, such as potters and textile workers, astrologers, musicians and soldiers.
• At the base of society were farmers and fishermen, who live scattered in various parts of the territory.

• Italian archaeologist Giuseppe Orefici has been excavating the site since 1982.

FALL OF THE NAZCA CIVILIZATION:

• It is the decline, which begins around 700 AD. C. The causes are unknown; possibly they were due to a combination of climatic setbacks, as there is evidence of a retreat of the agricultural frontier, at the expense of the desert.
