During the time when Vietnam was taken over by the French, they have influenced the Vietnamese cuisine by adding in more flavors, ingredients and new combinations of foods.
The French-Vietnamese cuisines range from exotic dishes to fancy desserts, and are still around today for the world to enjoy.
Bò lúc lac means "shaking beef" in Vietnamese. It is
a dish that contains marinated beef mixed with
colorful vegetables such as tomatoes, onions,
lettuces, cucumbers, and any kind of vegetables you
really want to throw in.
It is not a dish that is often served in a typical Vietnamese home, but it is served during special occasions. On the other hand, this dish is perfect for those who are meat lovers. Vietnamese people were inspired by the colors and taste of the Mediterranean dishes that the French brought up.

Vietnamese noodle soup. It is made out of
thin white noodles, beef, and some
vegetables. It is a very simple meal, but very
fulfilling to the taste buds. You can also
sprinkle a little bit of lemon and hot sauce
into the soup if you prefer spice and some
zest.
