We will learn about the Trevi Fountain, and We will learn about the Colosseum. These marvelous places can make you wish you could never leave. Are you ready for Rome? The Trevi fountain is the largest baroque in Rome. A legend says that anyone who throws coins into the water will come back to Rome. Every night about 3,000 euros are thrown into the water. Everyday it spills about 80 cubic meters of water. The Trevi fountain was built in the 15th century. The fountain was designed by Nicola Salvi. Stealing coins from the Trevi Fountain is illegal and you can be sent to jail if you are caught taking money. It took thirty years to make the Trevi Fountain
East of the Roman Forum is the amazing spectacular Colosseum. In 70 through 72 AD it was commissioned by Vespasian the Emperor. His son named Titus officially opened the Colosseum in 80 A.D and it was know as the Flavian Amphitheater. By the 20th century natural causes wore down about two thirds of the original amphitheater. The Colosseum is 190 meters by 155 meters in size! The Colosseum is one of the seven wonders of the world which is just amazing!
