You're forced to disperse food between as many people as possible while urged by the community to let them have more, if your Callidus you would have to disperse the food evenly to as many people as possible while keeping yourself fed, if your Abnegation you would give the bread to everybody and ignore your own health, If your Dauntless you would keep it to yourself, if your Erudite, you would try to find food around the area to increase what other food possibilities there are.
Callidus contributes to the society by precisely dividing the resources between all the factions and to find the most efficient way to do daily toils so we can spend our lives working towards breaking walls that our machines can’t help us with.
We named our faction Callidus, which is Latin for resourceful.
Stage 1
Each Family gets one watch, and is usually used by the person spending the least amount of time in a building. Every building will hold a clock near the entrance so it can be seen by everyone in it. Our faction members wear white clothes when it’s hot out to keep them as cool as possible since white reflects heat from the sun and black clothes in the winter to keep them as warm as possible with less clothing since black is heat absorbent.
The virtues our faction values are resourcefulness and efficiency, we believe that the desperation for resources are the problem to our society, as for some would go to absurd length to survive.
Stage 1 (in reality): Consistently feed a segment of the faction (5 homes) for 10 days, with an infinite budget. The more you spend accounts to your score, lowering it. The families you feed will send in reports of how well you fed them. If you starved them or over fed them, it will further reduce your score. The family will give honest results. 1/15 of the initiates with the lowest scores will be cut at the end of stage 1. This stage makes you physically efficient, spending less but not starving a person.
Initiation
We wish for all our members to be able to use as minimal resources as possible to obtain the best possible results. Our plan for Callidus is to extend the lifespan of our world’s finite resources for as long as possible in order to help our future generations to live as peacefully and sustained as the last.
Stage 2
Stage 2 (simulation bound): One slice of bread and a cutting knife is all you get to survive in a randomly generated forest for a week. The purpose is to use your materials efficiently to survive as healthy as you can by the end of the week. The main 2 options are to move as little as possible over the week or look for a stream to get water, hunt animals or forage for food and build a shelter to protect you from the weather and animals. In real time, the simulation lasts for 14 minutes, 2 minutes per day. If you die, the simulation automatically ends. 1/15 of the initiates with the worst health and shortest time gets cut. Stage 2 prepares you for mental efficiency, by making you stick to using your materials efficiently or thinking that you will die.
Callidus initiation consists of 3 stages. Some parts are a bit difficult, but still able to do, unless your a wasteful person. Not many initiates are cut, but those who are can be employed for other jobs in our faction
Our Opinion
Callidus
In our opinion, we are the best faction because we will always have a plethora of resources therefore you can expect to have a sustained life and never have to worry about the loss of resources, you can expect us to keep you healthy while having only mild problems with food at most, we are willing to take in the factionless as extra work force so even If you do fail initiation, you will still be able to stay here without the fear of death, though you do have less access to the more important part of the city but you will still be able to access the outer borders of the center of the city but you won't gain access to the city's meeting building or the storage houses in case of thieves. We try to space out work periods to help reduce panic from citizens to allow them time to prepare for any work that they will have to do in order to relieve and reduce any stress.
Stage 3
Stage 3 (in reality): You get a list of 15 tasks to complete over the course of a week. You have 10 minutes on the first day to prepare your plan of action. You have to finish your tasks properly and how much time you have spare will determine your final mark. 1/15 of the initiates with the lowest score will be cut. Stage 3 makes you use your time efficiently, like trying to finish your chores quickly. By the end of initiation, ⅕ or 20% of the initiates will be cut.
