CLOCK HISTORY TIMELINE

MECHANICAL CLOCKS

SUN CLOCK

THE PENDULUM CLOCK

They were less accurate clocks, they were big mechanisms with wheels to count the time. They were used in churches and cathedrals. The inventor of this element was the pope Sylvester the II.

It was invented by Galileo Galilei because he thought the movement of the pendulum could regulate the time.

Egyptians decided to divide the day in 14 parts. They used a system where the sun shadow was projected to count hours and minutes.
