As World War 2 was ending, another fear-driven movement was coming about. A second Red Scare. It began to spread across America. Americans feared that the Soviet Union spread communism all over.
Many people continued to seek out the communists. America had any actions that the people did not like. So Americans started not to support these actions. This brought out the worst aspects of the Second Red Scare to a end but Americans were still feared communists and their influence.
The United States didn't have to concentrate on the war, many Americans became afraid that communism was spreading to the United States and threaten nations democratic value's. They had investigative committees. Many Americans became suspicious and most of them lost their jobs. They believed that the communists spread propaganda through media.

Communism was, in theory, an expansionist ideology, spread through revolution. It suggested that the working class would overthrow the middle and upper class.
The fear of communism did not just fear the federal government. Everyone was afraid of them and people thought that other people were spies. It made everyone afraid. They asked each person that they thought was part of they communist party, if they were part of it. Some people said they want to speak. Then they were thought to be part of it. Most of the people thought to be part of it were the college students or the advocated socialist.
