For 18,000 years, Pangu slept inside the egg.
One day amidst the chaos, Pangu was born inside of the egg.
While Pangu slept, yin and yang balanced the chaotic universe
When Pangu awoke, he realized that he was trapped inside of the egg and tried desperately to escape.
In the beginning, the Universe was like a big, black egg. Inside of the metaphoric egg, chaos reigned and the heavens and Earth were intermingled.

As he pushed on the eggshell, he cracked it, forcing yin and yang to split

18,000 years after his birth from the egg, Pangu died. His body formed the various parts of the Earth, and the parasites on his skin became Earth's creatures.
The upper half of the egg shell became the sky, while the lower half became the Earth.
For 18,000 years, Pangu held the sky and Earth apart, growing bigger and taller each day. Every day, he pushed the sky and Earth exactly 10 feet apart.
