FOOD

Although Arab food is very popular in U.A.E culture and can be found pretty much anywhere and everywhere, the

restaurants in U.A.E offer food from almost anywhere in the world.

Indian food, Oriental, Asian and Fast Food are all very popular.

We can eat Mexican, Persian,Italian, Polynesian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Indian, Pakistani and French cooking, and more, at some of the best restaurants in the UAE.

NATIONALITIES

Peaceful co-existence of diverse people is one of UAE’s many distinguishing features.

Tolerance, security, job opportunities, attractive environment for investment, advanced infrastructure and tax-free income are the main factors attracting more than 200 nationalities to live and work in the UAE.

LANGUAGE

Although Arabic is the official language of the UAE, English is the most spoken language in U.A.E. We can also find a lot of expatriates who speak Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Tagalog, Persian, Chinese, Malayalam, in addition to many other languages.

CULTURE

With its diverse multicultural society, the UAE has developed its own unique cultural identity.

Art plays an integral role in the development of societies while nations retain their style and integrity due to their value of art.

Because of the mixed demography, all kinds of celebrations and festivals are a big part of UAE culture.

The two biggest festivals in Dubai are the Dubai shopping festival and the Dubai International Film Festival.

RELIGION

The Constitution of the United Arab Emirates provides for freedom of religion in accordance with established customs.

Islam is the official religion of the country. According to a ministry report,

76 percent of the total population is Muslim,

9 percent is Christian, and

15 percent is others which include Hindu, Buddhist, other religious groups, including Parsi, Bahá'í, and Sikh.

Non-Muslim groups can own their own houses of worship, where they can practice their religion freely, by requesting a land grant and permission from the local ruler to build a compound .
