Conclusion

Simon has alot of similaities with Jesus.

Anything Simon did was to help the tribe.

He did not revert to the path of savagery.

Even at the worst of times he kept his morals.

Him isolating himself could have been because of this epileptic problem.

His role wasn't to loud or expressive but gentle and peaceful.

His death was merely a result of extreem savagery.

Key Aspects

The Key aspects would be theme, setting and character.

Character changes everything, their behavior and their intensions will influnce their future.

Setting could cause disputes and the the human to revert to savagery for survival

Theme could be the ethical nature of the Biguns rather than their their government

My Thesis

Simon

Simon represented belief in humanity

and staying civilized.

As the plot develops he becomes less shy but also more seperated.

Simons character is strongy based on selflessness.

He put alot of dedication in his work.

Took care of the tribe and unlike Jack's intensions

He shows a spiritual connection between him and nature.

Even as the situation might force him he doesn't become a hunter.

His death was ironic since he wanted to tell everyone what he discovered.

Simon helped everyone as one would in society such as just following basic morals and courteous behavior

Simon tried to keep the tribes hopes up of being rescued

Introduction

• In Lord of the Flies the main characters represent different or certain groups of people
• Simon is interesting as he is silent boy but when he does talk it makes alot of sense
• Simon is often disputed between Jack and Ralph and he takes Ralphs side.
• Simon has come to the aid of others when needed.
• He is the type of person who you would want or need in a situtation like this
• He was physically weak but mentally strong.
• Simon had good morals and also had a spiritual connection with nature.
