  • While attending the University of Delaware, he acquired a job as a television camera man, which led to his interest in educational media.
  • Particularly, how media technology was affecting the instruction and teaching processes.
  • Became a leader in Constructivism, which is the idea that learning is gained from personal experience.
  • Most famous for his work with "Mindtools"
  • Born on September 14, 1947, in Salem, NJ.
  • Attended the University of Delaware, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. Later received his doctorate in educational media and educational psychology from Temple University.
  • Professor of Learning Technologies and Educational Psychology at the University of Missouri from 2000 until his death.
  • He died on Dec. 2, 2012, at age 65, after a long battle with advanced stage lung cancer.
