Canada 1713

That's all for the Canada 1713 slide show!!!

Queen Anne's War

Queen Anne's War was known as the War of Spanish Succession in Europe and it was also known as the Third Indian War. In 1701, after the death of King Charles the second in the 1700's, a war happened to see who should take his spanish throne. The war went on from 1702-1713, while Great Britain, the Netherlands, and several German States fought against France and Spain. A bunch of fights happened between the French and English in the North America. The English colonies in New England fought with the French and Indians that are in Acadia and Canada. Quebec City was targeted many times by the British but they were never reached. After that, the Treaty of Utrecht happened and ended the war on April 11, 1713. Because of the treaty, Great Britain was given Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and the fur trading parts around the Hudson Bay. Even though the treaty gave peace to both Great Britain and France, after 3 years, it will start all over in King George's War.

Treaty of Utrecht

The agreement of the treaty was related to North America which was a huge embarrassment to France. After that France agreed to give away all of the areas they owned around the Hudson Bay, Newfoundland and Acadia. The treaty aloud France to still have it's fishing rights in Newfoundland and the exact areas in the Hudson Bay were not told.

Treaty of Utrecht

The treaty of Utrecht happened on April 11, 1713 in the Netherlands, ending the war of the spanish succession. The goals that Britain made were achieved because France was not aloud to the Spanish Netherlands and Italy, and also Spain and France will not be united together.
