Yesterday, I had a science project due in first period. My science teacher is very strict about being on time to class at 8 a.m., especially when we have a project due. However, that morning, I slept through my alarm and woke up late! At 7:45, I was ready to leave and thought I could still make it in time. My mom and I got in the car and started heading to school, but we got stuck in a jam caused by a wreck. There were so many cars, we didn't move for 30 minutes! When I got to school, I was nervous that my teacher would count me absent, but turns out he was stuck behind all of those cars, too!

I woke up in the morning and got ready to pack my lunch for the day. I opened up the pantry and pulled out the supplies needed to make a PB&J: bread, peanut butter, and strawberry jam. I got a knife out of the drawer and carefully spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread, and the jam on the other. I put the two slices together, stuck them into a plastic bag, and left for school.
