"The orbit of every planet is an ellipse, with the Sun at one of the two foci."
...but what does that even mean?
- What's a precession?
- What's a perihelion?
- ????????????????
Objectives
- Calculate the precession for the perihelion of the planet Mercury, using a 4th-order Runge-Kutta method in a MATLAB program
- Demonstrate how this was used to show that Einstein's Theory of General Relativity was "not wrong"
