Creating your own island
My Island is in Hudson Bay
It is called "The Island of Blizzarctica"
The Island of Blizzarctica is in the middle of Hudson Bay at a latitude of 59 degrees North and a longitude of 85 degrees West.
It is cold in the Fall, Winter, and spring and mild in the summer.
My island nation is 82 square kilometers.
My island region is in Northern Canada and the climatic region is in the Sub-Arctic.
The only physical regions that exist are few trees, they have short summers, and barren landscape.
The island is divided into one small community with about 50 inhabitants.
The environment is very cold, barren, and snowy with few small bushes and grass in the summer when its warm or mild.
The weather is very Wintery like: cold, snowy, and blizzardy. The seasons are not like Canada, they're colder than usual. For example: Summer is mild, warm, sometimes cold but not hot. Then Winter is harsh with blizzards and snowstorms; very cold, colder than Canada's WORST Winters.
There are also many health and safety issues, such as: blizzards, snowstorms, hail, freezing rain, frost, cold snap,etc. There aren't many animals, but there are a few, cold-type animals. There are: polar bears, walruses, seals, whales, Orcas, and many more sea creatures.
Most people do snow activities, such as: snow-boarding, skiing, sledding, etc. They also do ice fishing sometimes.
There aren't any resources that are available, except one: oil. Oil is very rare and hard to get though, but the people manage to do it.
People don't come to the Island of Blizzarctica much because there are very few people there (around 50), few resources, very cold and dangerous, etc. They might come to do lots of snow activities, ice fishing, see auroras, arctic research, and watch wildlife too.
Some people already on the island might want to leave it because there are hardly any resources to support humans (which is why there are only about 50 people). It is also very cold and people can get frost bite, and hypothermia.
The island has no goods (except oil) whatsoever, so they have nearly every single good flown in. Some goods that they get are: vegetables, meat, building materials, and fuel. The island nation exports oil to other refineries and other countries.
The Island of Blizzarctica also has its own flag.
