Jason and Rachael have learned all syllables of the word, but now there is one problem, they've been separated, but no, Jason must go on, he must reach Maldor, and speak the
word to finish him once and for all. One of the members of the Amar Kabal, Drake (Seed people, they have this seed in there forehead, and once they die, the seed may be planted and make them reborn in a certain age) was with Jason, he lead him to Felrook (the place of
Maldor, Capitalof Lyrian), and they rung a bell which means somebody
would like to speak with Maldor. The door opened, and now Jason was
now in front of Maldor, the man who defeated Galloran, and all the other
heroes of Lyrian. There was a pause, then Jason just spoke the word,
"ARIMFEXENDRAPUSE". Maldor was shocked, but unharmed. Jason,
was even more shocked that Maldor hasn't been defeated, not even a
scratch. What did he do wrong? Did he say all the syllables right? Did
he not say it with enough force? Why didn't the word work? Jason
couldn't remember the word, for once said, it cannot be remembered, so
there was no second chances. Then Jason was brought the the dungeon of Felrook. Maldor
came an explained the truth of the word. He told Jason the word was a mere distraction, a rumor spread to make heroes have hope, and go on a fruitless journey. The word was real though, but it was for another wizard, known as Orruck. He then asked Jason, for he knew Jason had real skill and strength, to join his elite circle, but Jason declined, knowing all the sacrifices made by all his friends to push him forward. Since Jason declined, he was left to be
tortured in the dungeon of Felrook.
Ferrin, a displacer (Creatures that resemble humans, that can remove any part pf their body, and not got injured in any way) and traitor to Jason, wants to regain the friendship they had (for Ferrin acted to be kind to Jason, but was really working for Maldor, like all
other displacers. Now he realizes that he really felt happy, and the friendship with Jason felt real, which is very rare for displacers). Ferrin visits Jason, and gets him out of Felrook, then brings Jason to one of the few portals left to Earth. Jason refuses, for he knows Rachael would like to go back, and he had to inform Galloran and the others of the hoax, known as The Word. The portal back to Earth was a well, so
Ferrin knocked Jason out, tied his feet to heavy rocks, and pushed Jason in
when he was then conscious. If Jason was going down, Ferrin was to, so
Jason quickly grabbed his hand and pulled Ferrin in. Ferrin then removed
his own hand (since he was a displacer), and swam back up. Next thing he
knew, Jason was rising. He came up on land. He saw a parking lot with a
few trucks, and some houses up ahead. Yep, he was on Earth. Jason then
walked to the nearest house and asked, "Can I use your telephone?".
For months, Jason has been contemplating if he could really come back to Lyrian. What if the portal fails? What would his parents think of him? What would the world think? By then, he was a celebrity. "The boy who was
eaten by a hippo, then is spotted in another state" unheard of! His only connection to Lyrian was Ferrin's
hand, still active, he wrote words on Ferrin's palm, and Ferrin would use sign language to reply. Jason had
to go back. So he went to the same zoo, but this time, there were people near the hippo, so he couldn't try
do it. Then, music started playing. It was from the hippo! Jason had to try, the hippo was still a portal!
Jason slowly went in, the lady watching the hippo was screaming,
and before the authorities came, the hippo swallowed Jason.
Jason was now back in Lyrian, in the same tree, near the
same waterfall. He saw his friend, Tark, who was playing the
music. Tark told Jason where to go, to meet up with
Galloran and the others, but Tark told Jason that he saw
a lurker (a.k.a. a Torivor, a dark figure, in the form of a
human shadow, used as spies of Maldor), and it may
be coming for him. Then they split up.
Drake and Rachael found each other after everybody was seperated, and after Jason said the false word to Maldor. Drake knew a little Endomic, which was an ancient Lyrian language for wizards. The only Endomic he
really knew was to light a small fire, with just a few words. Rachael was amazed when
Drake lit fire with just words from his mouth, so she asked him to teach her. It took Drake
quite a long time to light a fire, but it took Rachael just a short time. After awhile, he
realized that she must have a gift, so he brought her to an old lady, who knew quite a lot
Endomic, and there Rachael learned.
They were now all together, they went to a fortune teller, and she told that it is impossible to defeat Maldor, unless they do it right. Galloran and a part of the group must go and make an army, some
of the group will govern the last city that is not under Maldor's control, and Jason and his
group must go to the Celestial Library, for it has a secret to defeat Maldor. Now, the plan is
in-order they must separate!
Galloran has setup his army. His army consists of the Amar Kabal, Heroes of Lyrian, and his main group. The other
group was ambushed, and the last remaining city, was now under the control of Maldor. Jason had the hardest time
of them all. Jason fought the Maumet, a giant lurker that shape-shifts into anything it touches. The Maumet seemed
impossible to beat the Maumet, but Jason was smart. Jason came up with a plan
to beat it, using orantium (a crystal that acts as a bomb that is covered in glass,
and once exposed to oxygen, it explodes), they'll trick the maumet into
shape-shifting into it, and since the Maumet is in the open air, it'll explode. And
amazingly, the plan worked. The Celestial Library led to a location that only Jason
could enter. In the given location, Jason was given instructions, here's a short
version: To defeat Maldor, under Felrook is an orantium mineshaft, so if they
destroy one orantium Felrook goes boom, and Maldor is gone. Jason also has to
stay behind in Lyrian, for it still needs a hero, but Rachael can stay, and Jason
is supposed to have his daughter in Lyrian. Now, time to destroy Maldor!
Rachael was captured, and Maldor asked her to join and be his apprentice, she could become the next greatest wizard, and
even Empress of Lyrian. This was the second time Maldor asked Rachael, for he saw great power in her, maybe even
greater than his own. She accepted, not because she was evil, but maybe she can destroy Maldor from inside. After a night
in Felrook, Rachael had come up with a plan. Rachael knew that Maldor kept the torivors somewhere in Felrook, and she knew that these creatures were Endomic, for she could feel it's power, and she also knew that the torivors were even stronger than Maldor. Rachael sneaked out of her room, and followed the power she sensed from the torivors. She used her endomic power to pick the lock to head to the torivors' dungeon, and it was all dark. Since they were both Endomic, they could communicate through the mind. She told the torivors that she can set them free, if three of them get left behind, one stays to
fight Maldor, and the rest can go back to their dimension. Meanwhile, Ferrin and another person went to the orantium mine, ready to destroy it. Maldor came to the room after finding out that Rachael had left. Rachael used her powers to take away Maldor's necklace, the Myrkstone, the stone that was created to control torivors, she broke it, and one torivor was attacking Maldor. Maldor, as a wizard was trying to hold him off by using a barrier to protect himself. All torivors left, and three of them brought Rachael back to Galloran and the others. All watched and saw Felrook blow up sky high. Finishing Maldor. Sadly, Ferrin and the other guy died in the orantium mines. Just then, Jason and the others saw a big explosion, so they followed it, and got all together. A few years later, Rachael left Lyrain, and went back to Earth, leaving Jason. And that's the sad ending of the Beyonders Trilogy.
As Jason was wandering Lyrian, he ran into a teacher (they were known as
loremasters). The loremaster let Jason stay with him for awhile, and Jason
explained everything. The loremaster understood and told Jason about Lyrian, and what a
Beyonder is. He then gave Jason a few rules, but the biggest one was to not enter this locked
door. Jason was really curious, just like every kid is, and he wanted to know why was this door
so important, and what is hiding in that door. The loremaster kept reminding Jason not to even go
to that side of this enourmous of home, and then that put something in Jason's mind. Jason thought
that the loremaster was reminding Jason to not enter that door so much, that the loremaster might be
hinting Jason to really go for it, so he did. Jason went to the door, but it was locked, and it wasn't a normal
lock, it was more of a puzzle, he tried it out, but it wouldn't budge, so he left. He then saw these markings on
the ground at the backyard that seemed similar to the lock in the door. Jason was a smart kid, so he got it right
away, and finally got in the door. What was inside the door? A library. A dusty old library, with old books, old
scrolls, just old literature. Jason kept going around, checking out books, but he realized that there must be
something even better than old books in such a restricted area, so he searched. He then saw this book, that
seemed pretty special, it had an eye that was closed, almost as if it were alive (I read the first book a year ago, so if memory serves me right, I think the book with an eye was written by a man named Salazar). Jason approached it,
then the books eye opened and so did the book itself. The book read, "By reading these words You have nominated
Yourself to recover the key word. Move swiftly. The knowledge you now possess marks You for prompt execution. The
first syllable is 'A'". The loremaster was behind him, and told him to run, he told him to go to the Blind King. Now
Jason must learn the word or die.
After a baseball game, Jason Walker goes
to his volunteer job at the local zoo. It was just
another day in America. He puts on his work
clothes and equipment, then he tends to the
animals. When he reaches the hippo, he hears this
unfamiliar sound coming from the hippo's mouth. He
then examines the hippo, and decides he should get in
to the hippo's pit to get a closer look. As Jason slowly gets
closer to the hippo, the music gets louder.
Now the music must be coming from the
hippo, he was sure of it! Jason was then so
close to the hippo, it was scary! Then.... the
hippo swallowed Jason whole! Jason was
screaming, going down this tubular slide. Then
the next thing he realized he was near a tree,
and then he soons learn the name of this land is "LYRIAN".
This is when Jason meets his partner, Rachael, who will be by his side for the rest of
the series. As Jason follows the loremaster's directions, he comes upon a crumbly
castle, the castle of the blind king. He then enters, and sees the blind king at the
end of the hall, upon his throne with his servant beside him. The blind king then is
informed of what is going on, and the blind king invites Jason to stay, and have
dinner with him. In the middle of dinner, the blind king asks his server to do
something for him. The servant was deaf, so the king used a hand signal, and
the servant understood what he had to do at once. The servant brought in a girl,
her name was Rachael. Rachael was a Beyonder (a person from another world,
universe, or dimension), just like Jason was. Rachael was from Earth too,
Washington to be specific. Rachael reached Lyrian
the same time Jason did. She came to Lyrian when
she was in Arches National Park, there guide took
them too this unknown ravine that has these
smaller stone arches, Rachael then took a snack
break, and spotted this butterfly, she thought it was
cool-looking, so she followed it to take a picture of
it, the butterfly then took her through a trail of
arches (which is soon mentioned in the book as
one of the most common portals to Lyrian), then
was transported to Lyrian, there she met Erinda,
and Erinda brought her to the blind king. After that, the blind king told the
kids his true name, Galloran. Galloran told the kids of the evil wizard,
known as "Maldor". Maldor is the strongest wizard in Lyrian, and he uses
his powers in hopes of becoming ruler of Lyrian. Now that Jason knows
of "the word", he his being hunted down by Maldor's army. The Word is
so powerful, once said to Maldor, it will destroy him completely. Now,
Jason and Rachael sets off on an epic quest, to find the 5 other
syllables of the word
