Set was very jealous of his brother Osiris in how he ruled over Egypt and more parts
of the earth, how many people loved and worshiped him, and as well as how he
was the father of his wife, Nephthys's child, Anubis. Set envied Osiris in the power
that he has and hated Isis as well. While Isis was in charge of watching over Egypt
while Osiris was traveling other parts of the earth, Set made many allies who all planned to kill Osiris.
When Osiris returned to Egypt, Set held a banquet for his return. At the end of the banquet, he presented a beautiful box. Set said he would give this box to anyone who fits perfectly in it. After all the other gods tried, Osiris stepped in it and he fit in perfectly. Quickly, Set and his men quickly sealed the lid with Osiris in it, which he then threw into the Nile river. Osiris who was still in it, suffocated inside and died, which made Set the new king of Egypt.
Isis in deep grief searched for Osiris along the Nile river. After looking long she found it, and with the help of her sister Nephthys, she resurrected Osiris and conceived her son Horus. Horus would later have been birthed and raised in secret by Isis to one day fight Set and eventually win back the throne of Egypt.
The death of Osiris closely relates to the first murder in Genesis in which Cain killed his brother Abel, with the same reason Set killed Osiris, because of envy and wrath.

Osiris was the first child of Geb and Nut, and would eventually become the successor of the throne of Egypt after his father Geb steps down. Osiris was married to his sister Isis, and was father to Horus and Anubis. Anubis was the son of Osiris and Nephthys. Nephthys disguised herself as Isis and seduced Osiris, in which she became pregnant with Anubis.
During Osiris's existence, he saw that the people in Egypt were violent and barbaric. Disturbed by how he saw the people acted, he went to the earth and taught them how to farm, what to eat, how to worship the gods and created order. Thoth, the god of wisdom and learning, assisted him in creating order on the earth.
Isis, the wife and sister of Osiris, helped him during his reign on earth. She was the goddess of health, marriage and wisdom. Isis was also a great magician. She tricked the sun god Ra (Atum) into giving her the same magic that he has, which she uses for many rituals and spells. Many Christians relate Isis to the Virgin Mary in
Christianity.

Geb & Nut
Shu and Tefnut had two children: Geb, the god of the earth, and Nut, the goddess of the sky. Geb and Nut were married to each other and loved each other very much. They produced 4 children together: Osiris, Set, Isis and Nephthys.
Geb and Nut were in love with each other so much that they were always together. Their father, Shu, separated them while they were in the act of coitus. He made Nut arch over Geb, so they can never be together.
The story of Nut and Geb closely relates to how God in Genesis created the vault between the earth and heaven, where Nut is the sky above the water as God created on the second day, and how God created the earth on the third day as Geb is the ground or earth.

Shu and Tefnut were with their father Atum in Nun for much time. After a while, Shu and Tefnut got lost in the abyss of Nun. Atum, devistated, removed his eye and sent it to look for Shu and Tefnut. In a short time, Atum's eye returned with his children. Out of joy from seeing his children, he wept and the tears that dropped on the earth created the first men.
In the beginning, there was an abyss of endless pitch-black water with the spirit of Nun, the source of raw material, in its presence. Out of the abyss rose a pyramid-shaped hillock on which the first god, Atum was created from.

Atum, who created himself from the abyss of Nun, was a hermaphroditic sun god who stood upon the hillock. Standing on the hill, Atum gave birth to his children, Shu, by spitting him out and Tefnut, by vomiting her out. Shu represented the air and his sister Tefnut was the goddess of moisture.
Atum's name closely relates to Adam, as he was the first man on earth in Genesis.
