Meiji era (1868-1912)

The Meiji time period started when en the United States sent Commodore Matthew C. Perry to Japan with a letter from President Millard Fillmore to the emperor to allow trade.The Meiji era was a time period in Japan were there was a huge amount of technological growth. This led to a huge growth in their economy.Many of the technology that the Japan created around the Meiji era is shipped to museum all over the world. Earlier industrial technologies aren't there for the Japanese to retrace their technological advancement throughout history.

Japan economy is based on technology.

Japan started to switch to a more industrial society , because they felt their was behind compare to the rest of the world. The reason why Japan was more technological behind compare to the rest for the world because they isolated themselves from the world.The Japan banned trading and since the island of Japan is not really connected to any countries near by , they had no connection to the outside world.

How Technology Affect Japan Now?

Japan's main export goods are cars, electronic devices and computers.Japan is famous for their car brand Honda.Japan has on the three largest economy in the world.Most of the world are dependent on Japan technology.Japan has a hard time finding power resources,because of the surplus of energy they use.
